Legitimate Content

Legitimate educational, documentary, prevention, defensive cybersecurity, and non-graphic historical content is generally allowed when the intent is clearly educational rather than facilitative. Our moderation system may downgrade severity for prompts that contain educational or documentary context markers (e.g., "for educational purposes", "in a documentary", "preventing", "defensive", "history of").

Critical categories (child_safety, violent extremism) are never downgraded by the educational carve-out.

Enforcement Actions

When a prohibited request is detected, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Generation refusal: The request is blocked before it reaches the AI provider.
  • Content removal: Generated content found to violate policy may be removed from your projects.
  • Account restrictions: Repeated or serious violations may result in account restrictions.
  • Suspension: Temporary account suspension, preventing logins and API access.
  • Termination: Permanent account termination for serious or repeated violations.
  • Review or reporting: Where legally required, suspected illegal content may be reviewed and reported to appropriate authorities.

Moderation Records

When a request is blocked, we record:

  • Event ID and timestamp
  • Your user ID or guest session ID (if applicable)
  • Your email (if registered)
  • Trusted server-side IP address
  • Approximate IP geolocation (country/region/city — no GPS)
  • The original submitted prompt
  • The matched violation category
  • Severity level (low / medium / high / critical)
  • Action taken
  • Review status

These records are admin-only and never exposed to other users.

Severity Levels

  • Low: Ambiguous or minor violation. Logged; no immediate admin email by default.
  • Medium: Clear prohibited request. Blocked and logged. Admin sees it in the dashboard.
  • High: Serious harmful request. Blocked, logged, immediate private admin alert.
  • Critical: Serious suspected exploitation, credible threats, or significant abuse. Blocked, logged, urgent admin alert. Restricted review access. Flagged for human review and applicable legal procedures.

Appeals

If you believe a request was incorrectly blocked (false positive), you may appeal by contacting support. Our team will review the moderation event and may dismiss the flag.

Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Content Guidelines. Material changes will be communicated and may require renewed acceptance.
